Nicholas Tuttle, age 82, is found in 1840 in the h/h of Pleasant Tuttle in
Macon Co., Missouri, Chariton Township. Pleasant is in the 30-40 age group.
Since there's also a Pleasant Casey person, and working on an assumption
that the given name "Pleasant" was originally someone's surname, the early
Pleasants were found in NC (say 1790-1800) then apparently fanned out all
over the place, per census indexes. Not sure whether that has any bearing or
not...just like to play around with naming clues.
Back to Pleasant CASEY(s), though...
In April 1815 in Isle of Wight, VA, there's a poll, or voting list that
contains both the names James Casey and Pleasant Casey in proximity. In
1815, IOW ran almost as far south as the NC border. Many of the names on
this list seem like ones I've seen in northern NC. Is this Pleasant Casey
in IOW VA related to the Pleasant in the DNA list who was reportedly b 1810
in TN?

In 1840 there is a Christopher Casey in the h/h of Hardin Casey, Cole Co.
Missouri.
He is noted as 88 years old (b 1752).
One Nicholas Tuttle was on the 1799 Tax List for Jackson Co., GA, also
Christopher Casey-- then these two names were on the 1840 Missouri census as
millitary pensioners, though in different counties. Did they move up there
together? Is this the same Christopher as earlier in GA?
The DAR Patriot Index shows Christopher Casey m. Sarah Smith.
"Marriages of Virginia Residents" shows one Sarah Smith m. Lt. Christopher
Casey...doesn't say that he necessarily is a Virginia resident nor what
county, nor date...only the names. Is it the same Christopher Casey as in
Ga.? Are these all the same person, in other words?
