Subject: [CASEY-L] Casey/Cayces In Shelby and Franklin Counties in KY
I am trying to find anything I can about any Casey or Cayce who may
have
moved from Virginia in the 1790-1820 time period to Shelby and/or Franklin
Counties in Kentucky. I am particularly looking for a Charles and/or
Josiah Cayce who changed their last name to Casey.
Thanks,
Russell D. Casey
Lexington, KY

Hi;Russell
I have 2 Caseys in my list of ancestors 1-William Casey and 2- Thomas
Casey both B. in Virginia. William, B.1803. Thomas, B.1807 I don't know if
they were brothers but it seemed they traveled togather, in the early 1830's
both moved to Kentucky, don't know the Co.Next year on to Illinois, Thomas
moved on to Missouri and established a settlement in what is now Cedar
County. this was about 1836 near the mid 1840's William arived in Cedar Co.
I have a lot of info. on their decendants. don't know if this could connect
but I keep hoping. thanks Lew.
