Casey, Jessee Newton, of Bellefonte, Ark.
Was born Oct. 13, 1844 at Jasper, Newton Co. Ark. The son of Elija Simmons
Casey, Elija was also in the Civil War, who was the son of Jessee and Nancy
Wilkins, daughter of James and Nancy Wilkins . Jessee was educated in Marion
County., Ark. Was a farmer, a Democrat and a Primitive Baptist. Was orderly
Sgt. July 4, 1862, under U.B. Tate, Capt. Was released at Shreveport, LA.
June 8, 1865. Maiden name of subject's wife was Mahala Roberts, daughter of
William roberts and his wife Malinda, whom he married July 18, 1887, in
Yellville, Marion Co., Ark. Children:
1.Martha Ellen Casey Married James Richey, Loraine, Texas
2.William Whitfield Casey married Virginia Loony, Holace or Hollis Oklahoma
3.Dela Alice Casey married Tom Slape
4.Nancy Jane Casey married Arch Boldon
5.Eliza Alfred Casey , died before 1911
6.Marion Casey married Allie Nance Loraine , Texas
