Sorry, wish I could help. I too have been searching for a different CASEY
family who came from Ireland about 1848 and finally settled in Dakota
County, MN. Good Luck with these elusive CASEY'S!

Subject: [CASEY] Jeremiah F. Casey Family
Dear Listers,
I have been trying to find information on the Jeremiah F. Casey
family for over 32 years! He was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, and was born
abt. 1820, supposedly in New York. He married Anna W. Craven (aka Cheri
Craven) on 7 Jun 1840 in Italy, Yates Co., NY, (or 7 Jun 1838 according
to her Civil War Widow Pension application.) They had children: Daniel
E. Casey (B Abt 1844), John Craven Casey, (B - 22 Oct 1845 in Tobyhanna,
Monroe Co., PA), Amos Ferguson Casey, (B - 22 Aug 1846 bin Somerset
Co.., ME), William Wirt Casey, (B - 21 Jun 1850 in NY) and Olivia
Annette Casey, (B - 13 Aug 1854 in WI.)
Supposedly, they are on the 1850 Stueben Co., NY census, but I have
been unable to find them under any variation of the name. Jeremiah,
Daniel and John Craven all enlisted in the Civeil War for the Union side
in Waushara Co.., WI. Jeremiah died15 Jun 1863 of extreme diahareah,
Daniel died 5 May 1864 after suffering wounds at the Battle of the
Wilderness, and John Craven survived the war...he is my
Gr-Gr-grandfather. One researcher has claimed that Jeremiah had a
daughter Margaret May, (B - Mar 1836), but this is incorrect.
I have been unable to get any further back than Jeremiah. In
official pension applications, etc..., they list themselves as Irish,
but I cannot document this. Does anyone have any info on this family???
