Major interest is Mary E. TAYLOR (29 Jun 1820) who m. John Berry CASEY-
GARRETT & prob died Monroe Co, KY. She was supposed to have had two
brothers (or nephews?) who were governors of TN & KY abt the same time.
John GARRETT's nephew, James T. ARGLE- GARRETT (1868) also married a
Taylor, Lady Ann TAYLOR (ca 1870) & lived in Pickens Co, TN. And another
kin, Elizabeth GREENWOOD- GARRETT (ca 1787) m. Wm B. TAYLOR in 1830.
My husband's line has Mary TAYLOR (ca 1862) who m. Leonidas P. DOTSON- PACE
(ca 1861), prob in Humpreys Co, TN.
Another distant kin, Elizabeth DAVENPORT- WHITE (1761) m. Permanas TAYLOR
in 1780 in Burke Co, NC and started another line of lateral relatives for
me, namely Wm; Alfred; Leanne; Leroy; & Polly.
So this is all my Taylor data. The name appears but I am really only
interested in the family of Martha, for whom I have not identified the
parents. But this family(GARRETT & EUBANK) has so many intermarriages,
there is a good chance she was related to one or both of the other Taylors.
Maybe you can help me? Jackie Ashley Pace, Pasadena TX

I am researching (AA) Alexander Taylor b abt. 1835 in Benton, Polk
County, TN;
m. Lizzie (?), had 8 children: Susan, Alexander Jr., Henry, Mary,
Amy,
Joseph, Louisia, and Isabella. The family moved to St. Martinville, St.
Martin Parish, LA. Alexander Sr. may have come from the Carolinas, VA,
AL, GA,
or KY. I do not know his father's and mother's names. Any
similarities?
