Hi,
My husband's mother was Mary (K)Catherine Causey. She was
born in Guilford Co. near Liberty, NC on 8 May 1918.
Her parents were Jesse Clark and Mollie Berta Richardson
Causey. He was born 11 Dec 1875 at home in Guilford, NC. He
died 13 Sept 1961 on his farm in Guilford, NC. and is buried
with his wife in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery, Guilford
Co., NC. He and Mollie Berta were married 25 Dec 1907 at
her home (Richardson home) in Snow Camp, Alamance Co., NC
(Geographically not very far from the Causey home.)
Jesse's parents were Joseph Wlinfield Scott and Rebecca
Barbara AMICK CAUSEY. He was born 14 Sept 1849 in Guilford,
NC and died 5 Aug 1896. He is also buried at Mt. Pleasant
Methodist Church with his wife. They were married 16 Feb
1875 at the Amick home.
His parents were John Green and Sarah Catherine CHOAN
CAUSEY. He was born Jul 1820. He married Sarah Catherine
CHOAN on 25 Jun 1844 in Guilford, NC.
His parents were William and Charlotta Gerrell (Jerrell,
Jarrell, etc)
CAUSEY. He was born 18 Dec 1815 in Guilford, NC.
I know that the Richardson line ties into the Quakers at
Cane Creek MM and Spring Meeting. As far as I have been
able to tell, the CAUSEY line was Methodist. However, there
are siblings in each generation (more as you get further
back) who are definitely married into this Quaker line.
Since the Quakers weren't real tolerant about "out of union"
marriages, this may indicate a Quaker CAUSEY at some point.
I am looking for information and/or pictures on/of any of
these people.
Thank you.
