Vonda,
Thank you so much for your information. No, I have not seen the Deed of Trust
which mentioned my Casey's in Grainger County. James (perhaps James W, son of
James and Elizabeth Lewis Casey) and John Casey and Agnes who were siblings.
I do not list a Sterling as a sibling, however James and Elizabeth had a son
named Sterling, so perhaps this is James W's sibling.
I do show Samuel Henry Casey (who died in 1801) as being married to Ann
Biehlor (perhaps it should be Bealor). I do show their son Samuel Henry, Jr.,
losing his father when he was six months old and being raised by the Biehlor
family.
I do not have a clue how the Samuel listed with land in 1817-1820 fits in
this family. I do have several Samuel's in future generation but none of them
would be old enough to own land at the time listed.
I appreciate your help especially since this is not your Casey line. My Bates
line, which marries into the Casey family is so much easier! We have it
traced back to Jamestown, however the Casey line is not so easy!
Colorado has the warmest January I have seen since I moved here from Oklahoma
almost twenty-seven years ago! Of course, we are so dry we may not even have
drinking water in the summer!
Thanks,
Rita
