Tom
I wished I could help you. My Casey research goes back to 1700's, my gggg grndfather
was born in 1779, supposely their ancestors were from Tyrone Co Ireland. There are
Casey's everywhere in KY migrating west to what they called the Western Lands which
was IL. I am doing census research in KY on the Casey names if I come across something or
you can give me some more info I will try to help.

To Tim Casey,
Tom Schenk here. I am researching my Casey family, who I've identified as
being from the Belmullet area of County Mayo in Ireland. My Ggrandmother's
sister, my Great Aunt, I guess, Maria Coughlin nee Casey was married in W.
Va after arriving in 1875 from Ireland. One of her children was born in
Kentucky, unknown where in 1879. I'm thinking there were some relations in
Kentucky they may have stayed with, or lived near, prior to their move,
ultimately, to Chicago, IL around the same time.
It seems most of the Casey message traffic I've seen deals with Caseys
who've been in America for quite a while. Have you encountered any Casey
family in your research who may be more connected to Ireland in the time
frame noted above? Or to the County Mayo area?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Tom Schenk
Yacolt, WA
PS: My Ggrandparents were James and Mary Casey, nee Kilker, both born around
1819. Mary born in Mayo - James maybe Mayo.
