I am interested in this Project also. I have been doing genealogy research
for 38 years and have many lines back to recorded history. But my main line
is the stumper for me. Sinclair Casey b. 1799 of Mason Co., VA. My oldest
daughter has been helping in the research now for the past 8 years or so.
We went to the WV Cultural Center this past week. She and her mom went to
the Mason County Court House. A few things were found but nothing
significant. We are sure that he ties into the Abner Casey line, but can't
make a connection. If a known decendant of Abner's line would do the DNA,
then we could also and could then possibly confirm our suspicions.

Subject: [CASEY-L] Casey DNA Project
I asked to be the Casey DNA Project Administrator and will do a DNA test for
the project my line is John Casey m. Drucilla Hill my his father was
Christopher Casey b. 1754 who died in Cole Co MO. (Note: I have never found
a document stating Christopher was John's father all handed down info.
Christopher Casey the son of Abner Casey or Christopher Casey b. 1731.
I would like to know any Casey descendants ideas about this DNA testing
before I start the process.
I have seen it done in my Hill lines and it does show what I know to be
correct.
