Hi Sandy,
The parents of Ambrose A. CASEY were Wesley Allen "Allen" and
Chaney/Channie/Chasaty (WOODWARD) CASEY. (These people didn't know how to
read or write so the spellings of their names in records are however the
person who did the writing heard the names.) Allen CASEY was a brother of
Susanah/Susan/Susie (CASEY) YOUNG, your lineage. As you know, Moses was
Allen CASEY's father. Moses was the son of Ambler CASEY. I've not proven
our CASEY lineage any further back than Ambler and Polly (ELLISON) CASEY.
There is some speculation re Ambler but I've not had the time to attempt
to prove anything. I do know that much info that's been "floating around"
for approximately 60 years is inaccurate, so I'd be very suspect of
anything not recorded in some way...source documents.
The siblings of Ambrose were:
Uriah Riley
Rachael S.
Winnie Emaline
Archibald Yell "Yell"
Genevieve "Jennie"
Charles H. "Charley"
Re children of Ambrose and Sarah, the only info I have is two daughters:
Betty and Lela. I do not know the name of Lela's MORRISON husband. I
didn't know abt an Eva CASEY. I have Betty as married to a John YOUNG.
As a warning, my "source" on Betty, Lela and their husbands isn't very
solid; i.e., the person is not a particularly good source. Some of her
info is wrong. And I know nothing more abt the children of Ambrose than
what I've written here. I've not done research on the lineage of Ambrose.
A. CASEY.
If you have good source info on the Ambrose A. and Sarah E. (DAVISON)
CASEY lineage I'd love to have it.
I find it interesting that Betty/Eva? supposedly married a John YOUNG
since your Susanah/Susan/Susie CASEY, daughter of Moses and Elizabeth
(COE) CASEY, also married a John YOUNG, John Kilman YOUNG. Were the two
John's related or did the "source" have inaccurate info? I have found
that many people have the wrong info; i.e., it doesn't match records.
I've not researched the lineage of John Kilman YOUNG, but would love to
have it.
Sometimes info that was passed down was passed down incorrectly.
I hope you find this info useful.
Mary E. Casey
