Donna:
Whoops - you told me you had the booklet a couple of days ago. Sorry,
I will copy the marriage record on Casey/Son. I have ordered the marriage
records on Son/Bookout as all I have right now is from a printed source. I
found them in Cass Co., MO (where they got married) in 1880. I didn't find
them in the 1860 or 1870 census, even tho they married in 1859. There were
a few other Son families (unusual name, huh.) in Cass County so that maybe
where I should look for what happened to William.
I'm headed out right now but I will stop and photocopy everything I have
right now in the way of documentation.

Connie
If the booklet you have was "Material Compiled Bicentennial Year 1976 by
Mildred Smith Eslinger", I have it. If not, I would definitely like to
have
a copy of the one you have. We visited Mrs. Eslinger several years
ago
and
I bought a copy from her. (She lives (lived) in Nevada, Mo.) She
was in
her 80's then and I don't know if she is still living or not.
I also have that Martha Casey m. John Bookout Sept. 23, 1852. They were
said to have had 8 children. I haven't found any other information on
this
family. However, I do faintly remember my father-in-law, John Casey,
the
son of Aaron and Martha Cawood Casey mentioning something about a John
Bookout many years ago. Wonder if they might have gone to OK too????
Will
ask some of my husbands sisters if they know anything of them. (My
husband
was a late-in-life child and his sisters are in their mid-80's so
could
know
more about some of "Pops" family.) Sometimes when we get
to visiting
about
family they start recalling incidents that happened. I also have a
tape
of
my husbands dad telling about when they left MO in 1900 to settle in
OK
which I have been transcribing. Will see what I find on it. Would like
the
info you uncovered on this Martha Casey and William Son if you
don't mind.
My mailing address is: Donna Casey; 105 Smithonia Road; Winterville,
Georgia 30683-1419. I have mailed a copy of the marriage record for
Thomas
Casey and Sally Rice to you. You should be getting it soon.
Will send you a copy of Aaron Casey and Mary Jane Messick and family;
and
also info on his second family--Aaron Casey and Martha Ella Cawood
Casey
and
family as soon as I can update the info I have. Need to put in some
corrections and more dates. This may take me a little while but bear with
me and I will get it to you.
Seems like there are a lot of interruptions when I get started on
something
like this but I eventually get it done.
Donna
