I have a letter from Dollie Casey which was written to Mary Casey.
If I am correct, I believe Dollie was the wife of Thomas Jackson Casey, son of Thomas
Jasper Casey who was born and died in Cedar Co., Mo. This Thomas Jackson Casey m. Dollie
E. Caldwell. They had two daughters, Ladine b. 1909-d.1910 and Mildred Casey b.____, m.
E. R. McClung. Will be happy to share contents of letter with anyone who descends from
this family. At one time this Thomas and Dollie were in Stillwater, OK (Payne Co.) and
also in Yale (Payne Co.) OK.
I would like to know more about this family, did they have other children, etc.
I am currently trying to pull together the information I have gathered over
the years on this Casey family.
I have a booklet called "Descendants of Thomas Casey" and if you don't have
it I can certainly photocopy it and send it to you. Send me you mailing
address.
From the booklet you will get the names of the children, dates and spouses
if the compiler knew them.
Just yesterday I sorted out a little problem with Martha Casey, daughter of
Thomas Casey and Nancy Smith. I found, in Cedar County, a marriage
between a Martha Casey and a William Son but the Casey book said she married
John Bookout. I looked at FamilySearch and found a citation for a marriage
between John Bookout and Martha Son then when I looked at Cass Co., MO
marriages, there was their marriage. She had been married twice. I don't
know what happened to the first marriage yet. He certainly could have died.
All this took place before the Civil War.
Let me hear from you if you want a copy. And, I would like to have a copy
of the letter you mentioned.
