I have a James G. Casey who was married to Jane Savage in Hardeman
County in 1829. His bond was made by one James L. Casey. I have never
seen any other reference to a James L. Casey.
I do not know if there is a connection of these to James A. Casey. One
James __ Casey was the administrator to the estate of John Casey who
died ca 1839. I cannot read the writing in the county court records well
enough to tell if the middle initial is an A or a G. I belive it is an
A. John Casey is in the 1830 Hardeman County census.
I have always assumed that these Caseys are somehow connected to the
Randolph Casey family that lived in Hardeman before moving on to
Illinois. However, I have no proof. James G. Casey named a son Hiram, a
named used very often in the Randolph Casey family. The Rev. Hiram
Casey, son of Randolph, died in Hardeman in the 1820's.
Here are the particulars on James G. Casey.
