I am doing research on the CASEY's in Newton County, Arkansas &
Hardeman County, Tennessee. My line has Uriah C. CASEY b
Hardeman Co. TN mar Mary Jane (unknown) abt 1848 in Newton Co. AR.
Uriah CASEY & Mary Jane ___ had to the best of my knowledge 12 children.
James Franklin CASEY b 1849 mar Jane Sparks; George W. CASEY b 1851;
Francis Marion CASEY b 1853; A. Jackson CASEY b 1855; Uriah R. CASEY b
1859; Elizabeth CASEY b 1860; Scott CASEY b 1861;
Abraham CASEY b 1867; Columbus CASEY b 1868; John H. CASEY b 1869;
Irba CASEY b 1879 and Plag T. CASEY b 1881.
I Mike Golden think Uriah CASEY's parents were James A. CASEY b abt 1810
and Elizabeth Margaret Honel b 1812 TN. They were mar May 5, 1829 in
Hardeman Co. TN. I think James CASEY died between 1843 and 1849 since
he is not on the 1850 census of Newton County AR. I think that
James CASEY and Elizabeth had 8 children. Uriah C. CASEY b 1830;
West Lake CASEY b 1834; Allen CASEY b 1835; Jesse C CASEY b 1835;
Susanah CASEY b 1836; Elizabeth CASEY b 1841 and Abel CASEY b 1843.
Does anyone have knowledge of this family in Tennessee or in Arkansas?
What I have listed is about all I knkow about the family and would
appreciate any stories or linkages to additional family members or
background information. Thanks Mike Golden - write back on the Casey
family page.
