What was the time frame Sally that your Casey came to the Norfolk area? I
have a Casey line that has been difficult to trace but know it isn't apart
of the Abner Casey Clan. Can't seem to find a connection with the Casey
Assc. list either. Anyone come across the family of John And Jemima Casey
1760 onward other than one son Dempsey?Supposedly landed and settled in the
Norfolk area and raised a large family, but can only document Dempsey b. in
1762 from family records.
I have come across a few James Caseys along the way. Any other info on your
James that would enlighten us?

Hi,
I'm pretty sure we've talked before.......
The two counties you mentioned are across the state from each other. The
Isle of Wight is on the coast and Boutetout is in the mountains......so
your
guy probably took a long walk! Actually, mine supposedly came
ashore at
the Norfork area and went to Bedford, to he was also in those areas.
Have you looked at the Abner Casey line? A lot of that is on the
internet.
There is also the Casey Family Association online which may help.
I wish I could pinpoint my James Casey/Kasey but I have not been able to
do
so. It's so frustrating! There are several Casey lines in
Virginia at
that time.
Good luck. Oh, yeah, do you know if you have any Kennedy lines in there?
Sally
