Subject: [CASEY-L] Re ; Casey's from Massachusetts
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have connections to some Casey's from Salem, Massachusetts,
-
we think they originally came from Killarney Kerry Ireland - atleast we
know
Thomas Casey married Ellen (Ryan) in Ireland and she was from Killarney.
The year about 1810'-1820 birth, One of the sons we know about is
Michael
T. Casey they came in about 1849-1860 and he married Johanna Heffernan.
I also have a copy of the coat of arms - my brother has the original,
was
handed down to him by my father and from his father. It has red chevron
- I
think that is what they call it , and three birds heads, also a hand
with
wheat. common maybe I do not know enough about the coat of arms to say.
This family seems to be hiding on me, I can not find one relative that
will
claim us. We do not know much about this family because my Grandfather
George William Casey Sr. left my father when his was only 6 months old
so we
never grew up knowing anyone on that side of his family and my father is
getting up in years and would like to make contact with some of his
family.
So if anyone can help us it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in
advance for anything you can do.
Thanks,
Kathy
