Hi Casey cousins: I have decided to work on my elusive Casey ancestor.
Someone out there in Casey land has got to know something about him. His
name is John James CASEY. Better known as J.J. CASEY. He was born in
Kentucky on Jan 20 1820. Somewhere between 1820 and 1844 he moved to
Sangamon or Menard Co., IL. He was married in Menard Co. IL to Harriet
Clark on Sept. 12, 1844. They had a whole bunch of kids. Benjamin (B.F.)
Casey, b 1847; Jeremiah G (Judd) Casey, b 1850; Charles Moody Casey, b
1852; Anna Casey, b 1856; John Tillman Casey, b 1859; William T Casey,
b 1859; Edward Lincoln Casey, b Aug 2 1860; George Thomas Casey, b Dec 21
1862; Cynthia 'Molly" Casey, b 1865; and Alta Casey, b 1867. All children
were born in Menard Co. Illinois, close to Athens, IL.
Sometime between 1870 and 1880, he and his family moved to Carr Creek,
Mitchell Co. KS.
J.J. Casey died at his home in Carr Creek, KS on Sept. 10 1886.
I have a lot of information about him and his family, except that I don't
know his father's name. I am in hopes that someone out there will be able
to add to my knowledge. Anything, Please!! I would be happy to share
any info that I have, with or without an exchange. Thanks for your
help, Ed Page
P.S. Edward L Casey is my gggrand father.
