Sorry, but I sent you an email earlier on my Caseys who might be related to
your Hale. However, I read you Jefferson Co. to be AL not IL. Mine are
from AL.

Subject: [CASEY-L] Martha Hale in Jefferson County IL in 1870
Does anyone recognize this Martha Hale who is in Jefferson County IL
in
the 1870 census (Webber Township)? She may be a widow and her
children
were born in Tennessee. She is living next door to
a James L Casey (1849 TN) who moved to Illinois from Hardeman
County Tennessee in the late 1860's. There were Hales in Hardeman
County that married into the Casey family.
42/42 HALE, Martha A 50 VA
John D 20 TN
Samuel B 10 TN
BELL, Mary J 25 TN
Rosilla 5/12 IL
(Dec.)
HALE, Benj. R 3 IL
According to the Jefferson County, marriage records:
David A Bell m. Mary J Hails Mar. 18, 1869 in Jefferson County, IL.
