I have Caseys in my tree, and I remember that someway they were related to
some Hales. My Caseys come from St. Clair Co., AL to Sand Mountain (Mt.
Zion area). My ggrandfather was John Thomas Casey, my grandfather was James
Elmer Casey. Don't know if this is a connection for you or not.

I have a James L. Casey b. abt 1849, son of James G. and Jane Savage
Casey,
married to a Martha S. Cluton. Cluton could have been her maiden name
and
she was married to a Hale before she married Casey.
Something to check on, I would think.
