Hi Lyn,
Don't know if there is a relation, but your Casey's coming from County Mayo
is intriguing. My GGgrandfather was James Casey from Belmullet, County Mayo.
He and GGgrandmother had thirteen children and only about four of them that
we have any information about. The youngest daughter was my Ggrandmother,
Susan Casey, and she first turns up in the 1880 census in Chicago, Ill.
w/her sister, Maria, Moria Coughlin. If you know, could you tell me where
your MA, VT, CT and NY Caseys were from in County Mayo. I do have a cousin
who told me there were two Casey brothers (my Ggrandmothers brothers) who
arrived in Chicago and left at some point for Australia. They were Thomas
and Patrick, as I recollect.
I'll maintain your email and if I find anything regards your Caseys in New
England, I'll let you know.
Best Regards,
Tom Schenk
Yacolt, WA
