CONNORS, John KENNEDY of Deerfield Beach, Flordia departed this life
Thursday November 7, 2002, age 72, born in Brooklyn, New York June 19,
1931 to Louis Joseph Connors and Agatha Kennedy both Irish
Newfoundlanders of Placentia Bay and Harbor Grace, respectively. He died
the youngest of five siblings who survive him. His twin James J., oldest
brother Robert (Terry), and twin siblings sister Jean (Walter Tomitz)
and Louis Joe (Margie). He leaves behind his wife Margaret M.
(O'Gorman) of nearly 50 years, and five children Laurie (Glenn Wootton),
John Kennedy, Daniel Louis, Louis Joseph (Judy), and Joanne (Peter
Parandjuk). Six grandchildren Aimee, Garett, and Alyssa Wootton and
Connor, Kira, and Caitlin Parandjuk. He came from a long line of
Newfoundland mariners most of which emigrated to Brooklyn and Boston to
work as Master Mariners in those harbors. He served on the ship
"Yosemite" as a sailor in the US Navy alongside his twin Jim. A
graduate of Seton Hall University, "Jack" worked for nearly three
decades as a Social Welfare worker in the Department of Social Services,
Suffolk County, Long Island. The Connors family resided at 10 Express
Drive S. in Holbrook for more than 25 years. He was a man of few words
and passed on to his children a love of reading and history. A legacy
which is to be both admired and respected. Sevices were held at the
Kraeer Funeral Home, Pompano Beach, Florida. Condolences can be sent to
