I'm helping my significant other search for his Caseys. They were
mid-19th century arrivals to the Lawrence, MA area.
His grandfather, John A Casey, was born about 1876 in Lawrence, MA,
the child of Daniel Casey & Ann 'Nan' [Theresa] O'Connor, both born
in Ireland.
As far as I know , John F.'s siblings are not known. We found Daniel
Casey's name on John F's 1924 death certificate. We do know that Nan
had at least 4 brothers, one of whom played pro baseball in the 19th
century.
John F. Casey married Catherine Agnes O'Connell before 1907. He was a
pipefitter or steamfitter. The house he built about 1896 in South
Lawrence is still occupied by descendents.
His children were:
1 Mary Casey m Arthur Kiernan
2 Agnes Justine Casey, m William J. Casey
3 Gertrude Casey, m Edward Fouhy
4 Frank Casey, m Mary Casey
5 Miriam Casey - died in her early teens.
We are looking for information regarding any of Joh F.'s siblings or
any information on the location in Ireland from which his parents
came. We have heard Co. Cork but there is no accurate information.
Thank you - Janet Munro for Bill Casey
