Hello Caseys and Casey-hunters,
Nice to find this list. I'm a first time sender, but have browsed the
whole archive to review where you've been already.
I'm looking for information about my Great Great Grandfather Michael
Casey who was born in parish Annagh, township Murroe, county Limerick
in about 1850. Following his christening, I have a 31-year blank until
I start seeing birth and death certificates for children in Chicago in
1881 (all buried in Calvary Cemetery).
Michael's funeral notice from 1898 lists nine siblings...
Casey , Michael, June 19, 1898, aged 44 yrs., at resid., 244 1/2 S.
Sangamon, husband of Mary, nee McGinney, brother of Patrick, William,
John, Edward, Thomas, Hanna, Maggie, Kate and the late Timothy Casey ,
native of Anna, Parish Murroe, Co. Limerick. Funeral from St.
Patrick's Church to Calvary
I have been trying with limited success to track any of these siblings,
hoping it can lead to a breakthrough.
If you'd like to see a photo and person sheet on Michael, I've posted
him in my blog here:

I have seen posts here (see below links) from 'Kathy' who is obviously
working on the same branch, but my attempts to contact her at the email
address have all bounced. If anyone has contact info for her that
you'd share, or forward this post to her, please do. Or if you're
reading this Kathy, please drop me a note, I would love to share
information with you.
