I don't know of your particular person, but I have encountered various
spellings of my name Casey. My early ancestor records are spelled Cazy.
There are about 85 ways of spelling Casey. (Casey) of which is the
correct way according to the first ancient account of the family name
Casey found along with the names of Neil, Connor, etc.. Good luck.
Always look for the soundex coding which for Casey is C200. If you can
search by soundex use it, it will give you every instance where the name
sounds the same regardless of the spelling.

Subject: [CASEY-L] New member KASY ??
Hello Everybody
I am researching my gggrandmother, who is described on my ggrandfather's
birth certificate as Elizabeth KASY. I cannot find any records in this
name and wonder if it was meant to be CASEY. Has anyone ever come
across anything similar.?
I believe that I have her in 1881 census in South Shields, where she is
listed as Eliza, b ab 1837 in Huddersfield. Her husband was James
McDermott, a journeyman Cordwainer and they lived in Chesterfield,
Derbyshire in 1856.
All suggestions much appreciated
Glenda
