I am looking for information on a Casey family that moved to Jefferson
County, Illinois from Hardeman County, Tennessee sometime in the
1860's or 1870's. I have never done research in Illinois or Jefferson
County so I don't know what is available. They are children of a
James G. Casey who was born about 1805 in Tennessee. I don't know if
he moved to Illinois or had died in Tennessee. I'm looking for census
records in 1870 or 1880 or marriage records for the following:
William Washington Hugh Casey (b 1853 TN) who married Susan Katherine
Dulaney about 1875.
Cynthia Ann Casey who married Thomas Asbury Dulaney about 1868 ?.
Louisa Ellen Casey who married Matthias Dulaney about 1872 (in
Jefferson Co I think).
Hugh Casey lived in Illinois until about 1900 or so. I don't know
about the other ones.
There were other Caseys, Levi and Zadock, that moved to Jefferson
County from Tenn. earlier in the 1800's. Some of their family was also
in Hardeman Co. Tenn. I do not know if these Caseys are related but
that is part of what I am researching. Any help is appreciated.
