The Casey family that I am searching for is Philomena Keaveney who married
Brendan Casey. I do not have any dates but they had 4 children named Sean,
Siobhain, Gary, and Ciaran. They are from Manorhamilton, Ireland. Any
clues?

Hi Mary,
I'm working on the CASEYs from Washington & Mercer Co. Send some names
and I'll help if I can.
Jackie
Hello Everyone,
I am in need of some help with my Casey's in Illinois. If anyone can help please let me know.
Daniel Casey was born Oct 20, 1797 in possibly South Carolina, died Jan 22, 1879 in Boulder, Clinton Co, Illinois. He married possibly three times and I do not have all the information on his children. The children are could be with the wrong mothers. So here goes.
Wife #1- Francis "Fanny" Morris born before 1801 poss, SC, died about 1845 in Illinois. Married Daniel Aug 22, 1822 in ?
Children 1. John Henry Casey April 30, 1832 Sandoval, Illinois
2. Osborne Casey bet 1830-1835
3.Elisha Casey abt 1830
4. James or Jay Casey abt 1845
5. Elizabeth Casey bef 1828
6. Lurancy Casey abt 1834 ( All Children Born in Illinois)
Wife #2 Sarah Johnson born about 1801 poss SC, died about 1852 in Illinois and married Daniel Feb 25, 1847. Children of this marriage:
7. Matthew B Casey April 29, 1852 Clinton Co, Illinois
8. Mary Jane Casey bef 1852 Clinton Co, Illinois
Wife #3 Lydia Lutitia Hill born July 1823 in Ohio and Died March 13, 1890 in Illinois. She married Daniel sometime after 1852. Children of this marriage were:
9. John? Casey after 1852
10. Martha Casey after 1852
11. Annette Casey Feb 1860 (these children were born Clinton Co, Illinois)
Does any one have these names in your tree? I would like to get this family sorted out and complete the info on the children. My ancestor is child #1 of first marriage. Family lore has it that children #1 & #2 ran away from home as teenagers. They boys traveled to Wyoming were they separate. John eventually settled in Idaho and Osborne Casey was heading for the gold mines of California. Apparently Osborne Casey was never heard from again by his brother John. I do not know if John had any contact with his family later on in life or not. But eventually brother Matthew Casey(#7) came to Idaho and eventually settled in Boise.
Sincerely
Anita Corbus

I know I have asked before, but since the list seems
to have lots of Il. Casey information at the present I
am asking again. Does anyone have a connection or
possible connection to Ada Casey b.1878 and resided
most of her life, and buried in Southern Illinois?
She was married to (1) Victor Carpenter and after his
death married (2) Elisha Brown.
Thank you all for putting up with me and any help!

Sharon;
I also am going by a census (1850, Crawford Co. AR). Your dates are
probably the correct ones - It seems we can't subtract accurately
(actually my wife did it).
I beleive my nephew made the connection of Mary to the Casey family. (I
will check with him about his source). James and Mary Bridgman lived
two doors away from the Caseys in 1850. Mary was born in 1830. Could
she be a twin to Phebe? Mary & James had twin daughters; Martha Ann and
Ellen Teresa, b. 1857. They also had a daughter named phebe and a son
named John. I think we have the same family, and I was just not aware
of the first four children.
James Bridgman has been such a mystery that I'm afraid we have put
almost all our effort into searcing for him and really only recently
started looking at the Casey side. We are anxious to learn all we can
about them.
Thank you for your help, and I will find out about the sources on Mary
Casey. I will let you know when I do.

1833, and another brother, Bennett, b.in 1839, also in AR. The parents
were John and Phoebe Casey. Their oldest sister, Mary married my ancestor
James Bridgman in 1848 in Van Buren, Crwford Co. AR. Mary was born in Ohio
and their sisters Toresa and Amanda were born in Indiana. They also had a
brother, John b. in AR, who died as a youth. What can you tell me about
Green or any other member of this family?
