I am new to this list and I am trying to find a William CASE, born
around 1810, who emmigrated to Australia.
It is thought he came from London, but nothing apart from what I have
listed below is known about him or his family. He appeared in
Sydney, NSW, Australia in 1844 when he married Sarah TUBBY at the
Scots Church on 1 April 1844. They had 3 children: William Sydney
CASE born 1845, and twin girls Sarah Isabella Case and Mary Elizabeth
Case born 1846 and all baptised at the Scots Church. William's
occupation was stated as servant/butcher on the childrens baptism
certificates.
On 30 October 1847 Sarah CASE, widow, married George FOWLER, again
at the Scots Church, Sydney and in 1849 George & Sarah sailed to
Tasmania. With them were 3 children: Sarah Isabella, Mary Elizabeth
and a new baby Emma Sarah.
There is no trace in the NSW deaths of either husband William or son
William.
Does anyone have a William Case on their family tree who went to
Australia sometime between 1810 and 1844?
