You have contacted a William Case--BUT-I live in Iowa. My relatives came
over to New York--then to Westmoreland, PA. and on to Illinois. My
grandfather's name was John and he had two brothers. There was a William in
with them, but not sure of the relationship? It is all rathr vague. While in
St. Petersburg, Fla. I was at a Wal-Mart store, coming out I was standing
near 3 men and they were discussing seeing a Wm. Case. I asked them if they
were looking for me, and they told me that the one they were after was a
Real Estate Owner in a nearby mall.
I went over out of curiosity and it was indeed another Bill. I just dug
out his card-here is the phone number (813) 576-2800-Office-fax-(813)
577-2848. He told me his family was more South but not Florida. By more
South, it could mean Missouri, as it is just below Iowa Where I live. Good
luck, I never did well. Bill Case from Bettendorf,IA.

Hi I am Jack Stanford Case and have been looking for my great
grandfather
William Case.According to the Iowa 1925 state census he was born in
PA.abt 1812 or 1814. His wife name was Mary Ann Mitchell.The 1850
Federal
census shows a William Case and Wife Mary Ann in Marion Co VA. which
is
now WVA.His Occupation was a Hatter. The 1860 census shows William Case
and his wife Mary Ann and son Christopher Columbus age 9 my grandfather
in Chariton Co`Missouri the 1870 also shows him and wife and son still
in
Chariton Mo. William Case or his wife Mary Ann are not shown in the
1880
MO.census. Christopher Married Sarah Elizabeth Dye in 1879 in Chilleothe
Livinston Co. MO. CC Case and his wife Sarah are listed in the 1880
census living in Chilleothe MO. It appears as though they are living in
a
hotel or boarding house. The is no William Case or His wife Mary Shown
in
the 1880 MO census. What happened to them? I contacted the Chariton
Historical Society and they could not find a death notice or a probate
will. Maybe this data will help both of us Jack
