Hi Everyone -
I'm glad others are having a problem with the "Free" 1880 Census on
Ancestry.com - sometimes I think it's just me!
I found the subscription requirement after going to _www.ancestry.com_
(
http://www.ancestry.com) , clicking on the "Free" 1880 Census link. Then you
sign
up for the temporary membership. Then it does give you a list from the
stats you put in. The problem occurs when you try to access the original
document - THEN you get the subscription notice - and at $100 for 3 months it's
pretty steep.
Thanks for the offer of looking it up, Lori. Since it's not a "Case"
related quest, I don't want to take up your time with it. I'm not even sure
it's
him. I plan on doing some heavy research when my boys are out of school next
month - I've got to go back and look up old newspapers on film, etc., so I
can get the Census info. then. Thanks though.
Happy Hunting Everyone!
