The rejected Revolutionary War Pension, R1766, for Enos Case that was filed
29 May 1852 by Enos son Hannibal Case. Hannibal applied for pension in
behalf of himself, his siblings, Henry Case, Ann Kirk, Sarah Maria Little
and Phebe Evereth.
In this file is a typed letter dated September 9, 1912 has pretty much the
above information. The letter is addressed to W. L. Lowry, M.D. in
Carbondale, Pa. The last paragraph is a mystery to me.
"A careful search of the records of this Bureau fails to afford any
information in regard to Leonard and Absalom Case."
I would like to learn why Leonard and Absalom Case are discussed in this
letter. Why in 1912 the letter was sent to W. J. Lowry and how he is
involved in Enos Case pension application. How do Leonard and Absalom
connect to Enos.
Hannibal Case, son of Enos, was born 14 Dec 1799 in New York and died 16
July 1871 in Minnesota. I have a photograph of his grave marker, it is an
enormous obelisk.
Thank you,
Ann Parsons
