Mary,
LORI I FEEL LIKE I AM GANGED UP ON NOW. I HAVE TYPED THIS WAY FOR
YEARS ON THIS BOARD ANY MANY OTHERS. IF YOU LOOK ON MY ANCESTRY TREE IT'S IN CAPS AND
ALSO MY FACEBOOK PAGE. THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT TYPE IN ALL SMALL CAPS TOO. I HAVE ENJOYED
BEING ON THESE BOARDS, BUT NOW I'M EVEN TOLD HOW TO TYPE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO
UNSUCRIBE I WILL. THANKS, MARY
You are not being ganged up on.
How you type elsewhere is your business, but here please don't use all
caps. It hurts the eyes!

Not trying to cause problems but another point of view.
There are some (more senior than others) who have vision problems and they
(I'm one of them) find larger type easier to read with our bifocals. It's
difficult to please everyone so be thankful we can still chase relatives
through your fine work

And, I certainly appreciate that problem as I also have vision issues.
However, I believe the better solution is to change the font size in my
email program. As has been pointed out, using all capital letters in
considered rude and even inflamatory in this new world of internet
communication.
Perhaps Lori will now put an end to this thread.

And one more point of view.
I'm not exactly a spring chicken and need to wear reading glasses for computer
work and small print like newspapers, but I strongly prefer a larger font type
-- like this (very easy to change on any computer) -- over all caps.? I'm not
sure why it is so, but all caps are much more difficult for me to read (perhaps
because the letters are so similar to each other and tend to blur together?),
and in all honesty when I get an email in all caps, I tend not to?read it.
Thanks,
Elaine

Hello,
No offense taken by anything here-- I just retired from a large company(government) and
was used to seeing lots of "signature" lines that followed a person's name--
I just ignore it.. In my job we typed everything in CAPS and our keyboards were even set
as same-- when I answered email at break or lunch it went out that way.. relatives and
friends knew that's the way I typed. Anyhow..
I am researching southern Case .. GA and MS. Recently, I saw a post here about a CASE
family in TX in 1880 that showed place of birth as Michigan-- the info appeared to be
census info. Whoever posted that--are you sure it was Michigan? and not Mississippi? Seems
much more likely in 1880 that a Texas CASE would have been from MS not MI. I ask because
several years ago I was doing some census research on Ancestry and using there print outs.
I saw information on a family of mine that I knew to be from MS but it showed MI.. when I
went to the actual page image I could see where the transcriber had misinterpreted
Michigan for Miss.
Kathy

As long as any member's post pertains to CASE genealogy it matters not

Let's not attack members for their siggy lines as long as it is a clean

sually denotes anger. She was just advising you of the protocol. Please
