Dear Angel:
You just made my day! I have over 360 Case related messages in my Case
Folder, and yours is the first that I absolutely can tie to my scanty
family tree. As soon as I read your 1st message I called my mom. She
is the daughter of Spencer Byron Case, who is the son of Charles Louis
Case and Mollie (Mary Ann ) Birchfield(Burchfield). We have a lot more
information of the Birchfield side of the family, but have only been
able to take the Case line back to Charles Case and Mary Rhodes. I will
give you some information and my Mom's address. She would love to hear
from you and perhaps you can help each other fill in some spaces.
According to Mom's records, Charles Louis was married to Amelia Williams
first before marrying Mollie Birchfield and had one child, Sarah
Elizabeth. Amelia died in childbirth. After marrying Mollie Birchfield,
5 children were born. The one you don't have listed is Casper Hale who
died in infancy. I believe he was born between Samuel Henry and Spencer
Byron. James Burdelle also died at a very young age. Spencer Byron
married first Frances Conrad. They had 3 children, Clifford L., Phyllis
Jean (my mom) and another child who died in infancy. Kelsey Lou married
2 times, the 2nd time to Harry Lowrey. Spencer Byron (who went mostly by
Byron), Kelsey, and Clifford have all died.
According to Mom, Nancy J., known as Nan, never married. John Calvin is
the grandfather of Ira Marcellus Case who still lives in Surgoinsville,
TN. We see them every year during August at the
Case-Birchfield-Bradshaw reunion.
Two Cases we are still looking for are Pelina Franklin and James P. Both
are led on the 1860 census for TN but are missing on the next one.
My Mom's address is:
Mrs. Moses Fried
1073 Jenny Lillard
Lawrenceburg, Ky
She's looking forward to hearing from you. She is not on e- so it would
have to be snail mail, but she is kind of the family historian.
I'm really glad you posted this info.
