Hello.
I've been lurking for a little while now, and I'd just like to post my
research interests in case there are any other people researching the same
names.
I am researching the family trees of both my grandmothers and the English
one is from the East End of London.
Her parents were Frederick Samuel CASE and Harriet Mary RUDD (known as
Hettie) they married in Bethnal Green in 1898 and lived in various areas in
the East End. They had 3 daughters called Hilda Frederica (my grandmother),
Lorna M. and Freda.
We have no news of Lorna as she and her other sisters were estranged. I
understand she married a soldier called Fred Mills, who was quite a few
years younger than her.
CASE
Frederick Samuel's father was Frederick Maynard CASE (Bookbinder) who
married Bertha BRYDON in 1873. I have found no other siblings and my great
aunt seems to think that he was an only child.
Frederick Maynard CASE's father was Samuel CASE (House decorator)
BRYDON
Bertha BRYDON's father was John BRYDON (French Polisher)
RUDD
Harriett Mary RUDD's father was George Rudd (Labourer/Engine Driver) who
married Julia WARWICK in 1866. I have found no other siblings and my great
aunt thinks that she was the only one of ten to survive infancy,
George RUDD's father was William RUDD (Waiter)
WARWICK
Julia WARWICK's father was Joseph WARWICK (Sawyer)
Any one with information please e-mail me directly.
Regards
Melanie Harries
