Hi Scott,
I wonder if there are two men named Thomas D. Case? My
great-great-grandfather was Thomas Day Case, b. 8 Aug 1830 in Wayne Co.,
OH.
On 10 Sept 1850, he married Jane Wagoner. They lived in OH, until
1853 or
1854, when they moved to Elkhart Co, Indiana. Their children were:
Samuel Nelson CASE, b. 1851 in OH
Elizabeth Angela CASE, b. 1853 in OH
Philip Harrison CASE, b. 1854 in IN
William Henry CASE, b. 1856 in IN(he married Jeannie Lamb Stewart in
Nebraska)
Edwin Lincoln CASE, b. 1860 in IN
Thomas Jefferson CASE, b. 1862 in IN
Sarah Jane (Jennie) CASE, b. 1866 in IN
Minnie Mae CASE, b. 1869 in IN
They continued moving West in the mid 1870's, homesteading several tracts
in
Hamilton County, Nebraska. T.D. and wife Jane are buried in the
Case
Cemetery in Hamilton Co.
I'm afraid there must be two families that resemble each other. Have you
found your CASEs in the IN census? Can anyone else help?
Regards,
Trish

Perchance to you have ANY additional information on Samuel Nelson Case? My
great grandfather was known as Sam but I'm fairly certain that his name was
actually John Samuel Case. Supposedly born in 1858. Do you know of any
other Samuels in your line? John Case
