<< I found reference to Pelatiah Case in NE Hist Genealogical Register Vol
71:
Pelatiah ye child of Samuel Case Jr., born Sept 4, 1768. Question: how do I
know this is the same Pelatiah (m-Appia Loomis), father of Martin, Pelatiah
Jr., Chauncey, etc.
.....You find the answers to your question thru research. Unless you lived
there in that era, nothing is proof positive, but you have to have faith in
the VR's, church records, etc. that say for example that Pelatiah is s/o
Pelatiah. I don't have those records, I can only go by what my sources say.
The sources I have on the John CASE line are: CT-IGI; "The Yankee Generation"
by Charles Case; NEHGR's; "The American Genealogist"; John Case & His
Descendants" by Ruth C. Duncan; and fellow researchers that have other
sources.
<< An earlier post said that Pelatiah was s/o Samuel, gs/o Samuel and ggs/o
Samuel. It does not feel right for there to be 3 Samuels in a row then from
Pelatiah on down in myline, the first name to never appear again. Got an
explanation?
......The John CASE line has 8 John's in a row; I have Henry 1 CASE, Henry 2,
Henry 3, Henry 4 in my line; I have Daniel 1 CASE, Daniel 2, Daniel 3 in my
line - so you cannot go by the notion that "it does not feel right". Pelatiah
1 had a son Pelatiah 2 and I don't have anything on "Jr's" line. Samuel
1
CASE had a son Pelatiah.
<< I would appreciate any information forward and backward on Pelatiah Case b
1768. Anyone have inf. on a Salon Homer Case from Wisc.? or a Warren Case
from Halfday, Ill.

.....Didn't I give you the line from Pelatiah 1 back to John/Sarah Spencer
CASE?
Do you have more info on your Warren & Salon (which could be Salmon) Cases? A
spouse, sibling etc.?
