I am searching for any information pertaining to
John Samuel Case aka Samuel Henry Case aka J
Samuel Henry Case
b 16 Nov 1858 (in Iowa?)
m Anna Sarah Kock (between 1877 and 1878 in
Missouri or Kansas)
d 23 Aug 1889, Frankfort, Kansas
ANYTHING regarding the above would be greatly appreciated. He was my great
grandfather. I now live in Africa and I've been searching on and off for
the past thirty years for information on his heritage. Our branch comes
firmly to a halt with the above. Their (John and Anna) children were
orphaned at a fairly young age.
As a matter of interest to other Cases (and I've been quite surprised that
there are so many of you since subscribing to the newsgroup), our branch was
the first in Orange County, California. I was told when I was little that
we were the only ones in S California -- although I am beginning to see that
there were a few around the LA area. For those with more ecclectic
interests, yes, there are a few in the RSA -- I have not attempted to obtain
information from them. The first "non-family" Case I ever met was a Peace
Corps Volunteer here in Botswana. Also, my wife, who is English, met a
nurse named Case several years ago. The nurse was from British Guyana and
was "black". They both had a good giggle. We seem to have gotten around.
