<< I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might be able to help fill in
some names on my father's line. I will be checking with census records
to try to validate parents of my great grandfather, Walter Dansberry.
Census records show his parents born in Ohio, and have received much on
possible parents. I want to thank everyone for their help with
Dansberry lines in Clermont Co., and believe at this time that his
father was probably George Dansberry, who married Mary Case 9/6/1863 in
Clermont Co.
I have been researching the Case families in Clermont Co., and have
found a family that might link up with Mary and two other Case ladies
who married Dansberry men. I have found the following:
Alexander Case b. abt 1779 married to Elizabeth ??? married abt 1800
children:
Nelson b. abt 1800
Loyd b. abt 1802 m. Catherine Crachcraft
Mary Ann b 3/30/1804 m. Jesse McLefresh 5/18/1823
Sarah Sally b abt 1805 m. Elijah McLefresh 9/2/1824
Nancy Ann b. 1/1811 m. Zadock McLefresh, Jr. 1/15/1834
John b. abt 1815
Margaret b. abt 1817
Tabitha Elder b. abt 1820 m. Samuel Hildreth 10/7/1840
Joseph b. abt 1820 m. Mary Preter 12/16/1844
I am believing that Mary Case, Elizabeth Case and Tabitha E. Case might
be children of Joseph Case, shown above. Elizabeth was born about 1840
and married Francis Dansberry 2/16/1858, Mary born abt 1845 married
George Dansberry 9/6/1863 and Tabitha E. was born abt 1850 married
William Dansberry 8/11/1867. All these marriages took place in Clermont
Co., and Alexander and Elizabeth Case were living in Chilo, Franklin
Twp, Clermont Co.
My father has limited knowledge of his grandparents, except that an aunt
told him that the Dansberry line was connected with the Case line and he
remembers hearing mention of a George in the Dansberry family. This
leads me to the Clermont Dansberry and Case families and I would love to
find as much about these families as possible. Will be searching census
records and would like to have as much information on these people as
possible to see where links might be to connect to my line.
If anyone has any information on the children shown above, especially,
Nelson, Loyd, John and Joseph Case, I would appreciate hearing back. The
time frame would suggest that Joseph would more likely connect with my
line, but anything anyone can add would be appreciated. If anyone has
any Dansberry information as well, please let me know. It is possible
that this Dansberry line came from New Jersey before settling in Ohio,
and I really would love to find as much as possible on both these
families before heading for census records. Thanks to anyone who can
add to this information. Holly M. Snead snead(a)bellsouth.net
