Hello, Case "cousins":
Can anyone connect with the following Cases from Michigan?
1850 census, Argentine Twp., Genesee Co., MI.:
545 - 545 Moses Chase 79 M Occ. None b Maine
Daniel Case 30 M Farmer b NY
Dolly " 30 F "
Elias " 13 M MI
Sarah " 11 F "
John " 9 M "
Hollis " 7 M "
Moses " 4 M "
I believe that there is a strong possibility of a connection with my own Cases.
Any response greatly appreciated.

Daniel,
The Case immigrant that I've been researching, came early to Hartford,
CT. I have a family in my database that has Daniel (b. 1752) and Moses
(b. 1754), sons of Daniel. The girls names don't reveal any naming
patterns and these people were still in Hartford, CT (Simsbury).
Also, I have the First Settlers of CT & MA (where there is a 25 page
appendix on Cases). There is a Moses b. 1746, no son Daniel, 1 son
Moses, b. 1776 and the line stops there. These folks lived in Simsbury,
Hartford Co., CT.
Hopefully someone else will have a better answer but if you ever need
information on Hartford Cases, drop me a line. I'm working on entering
the appendix to a GEDCOM file and it will be made available to everyone
by our list owner.
Good luck!

P.S. For what it's worth, Don Weymouth and Tim Doyle have quite a few
CASEs on their websites:
