Greetings, Dan and Trish,
Could you provide me with the lineage of Samuel Case, please?
I know I have seen the name on the Case Family list before but,
I do not have him in my database.
Is he descended from the emigrant William Case?
THANKS and GOD BLESS! Bob boblin(a)bright.net

Hi List-ers!
T.D. CASE (Thomas Day CASE) was my gg grandfather, son of Samuel Case and
Rachel
Troutman. He was b. 1830 in OH and lived until 1924 in Hamilton Co.,
NE.
He served more
than one tour of duty, leaving his long-suffering wife, Sarah Jan WAGONER,
to care for the 6
children living at that time. He was captured by the Confederates in
Tennessee, was being
transported to Andersonville by train, when he cut his way out of the
boxcar
and escaped.
He was hidden by Quakers and eventually returned to his unit. And
re-enlisted!! He was
quite a character and outlived 7 of his eight children.
If anyone is related to T.D., I'd be thrilled to meet you.
Thanks for the posting, Lori.
Regards, Trish
