Hi Betty, I saw your email on your Cases in Little
Compton, Newport, Rhode Island. I am not anywhere near a
library in Rhode Island but I am descended from James Case
and Anna through Isaac Case, brother of your Elizabeth. I
was just at the Denver Library today and copied info about
the Cases from Little Compton Families by Benjamin Franklin
Wilbour. If you have not had access to this book, I will
send you copies of the info on the Case family. Just let me
know. I also have been trying to find out about this branch
of my family. If you find someone that has any more info
please let me know. My line is
1 William Case and Mary White
2 James Case and Hannah Anna Unknown
3 Isaac Case and Alice Unknown
4 Thomas Case and Martha Richmond (m. Aug. 14, 1742
Tiverton, Newport, RI)
5 Alcy (Alice) Case and George Allen (m. Nov. 9, 1776
Dartmouth, Bristol, MA)
6 Margaret Allen and Thomas Dunham (m. Feb 21, 1811
Westport, Bristol, MA)
etc.
The LDS has an Elsie Case (daughter of Job Case, nephew
to your Elizabeth) as the one who married George
Allen but old family papers said that it was Alcy Case,
daughter of Thomas Case and Martha Richmond, that married
George Allen. It is a long story but I feel I have proven
that the family papers were right. In the will of Isaac
Case he mentions his son Thomas who left on a voyage and
never returned and tells of Thomas' children including an
Alice Case. I would be interested in finding out about what
happened to Thomas and to his wife Martha. I am also trying
to find out who are the parents of Martha Richmond . There
were quite a few Richmonds in Little Compton but I cannot
find my Martha.
Again, if you need the info out of the book Little Compton
families just let me know. Hope I haven't been to
confusing. Jeanne Helms
