Subject: Re: CASE, Daniel 1702-1761
I have Daniel's father Henry CASE in my line but unfortunately I don't have
any spouses or children listed with him. Henry's parents were:
Henry CASE, b. 1632, Southold, Suffolk, Long Island, NY
Martha CORWIN, b. 1632, Ipswich, Essex, MA>>
One of the problems is, that most everyone says Daniel is s/o Henry2
BUT no one has data to back that up. I can find nothing on Daniel's
parents and I've been looking for many years. I think he was one of
those seeds the birds dropped from the sky? ;)
I suspect that Henry1 was either 1. born more like 1635 and underage
in 1655 or 2. was born earlier and was a "prisoner" of sorts in 1655.
My reason: At a court held at Hartford,CT on 6 Sep 1655 [particular Court,
transcribed in Collections of the CT His Soc 22:152], in the matter of Jno
Case vs John Knott "for deteyning Henry Case his servant". The "courte
seeth
no Cause to remove Henry Case from John Knott". This is the earliest record
of John Case in Hartford Co. and only record of Henry Case there.
So it seems, there is some connection between John CASE of CT and Henry CASE
of LI----------IF that is the same Henry CASE.
I have Martha (Corwin) CASE~HUTCHINSON (1639-1707)
