Bob;
My Case ancestors changed their name to CAYS on their way from Michigan to
Washington. They all started out in New Jersey, then went to Pennsylvania,
Ohio, then on to Michigan and finally Washington State.
They started out as KAES, then KASE, CASE and CAYS.

Subject: CASS surname
: Greetings,
: I was hoping there may be some researchers out there
: that have researched the name change from CASE to
: CASS.
: Dr. Chester Isaac Harmonway CASE changed the spelling to CASS in Ripley
County, Indiana. The inscription for his wife Martha 'Mattie' Thompson CASE
is shown on the Case Clearing House.
: Can anyone help me with info about the descendants
: of Chester and Martha Case/Cass or the descendants
: of his first wife Jane Burroughs Case/Cass?
: THANKS and GOD BLESS! Bob boblin(a)bright.net
