Oscar;
I have traced (haphazardly) my Case line back to Anthony Kaes who was born
in Germany in 1691. He died in Amwell Twp., Hunterdon Co. NJ in 1769. I
have not personally verified this information but have corresponded with
numerous folks who seem to have the same information. Anthony's parents
were Johannes Henrich Kaes who was born in 1652 and Christinna Veronica
Schreitzer. Again, I caution anyone taking this information. Someone else
has done the research and I have not personally verified it so until proven,
take it with a grain of salt as always.
It appears that Anthony's son John stayed most of his life in New Jersey,
but migrated to Indiana(?) as an elderly man after his wife's death
(Elizabeth Huff).
John's son , John Case, was born in Hunterdon Co. and migrated to
Gettysburg, Pennyslyvania, spent time in Butler Co. Ohio, and migrated to
Cass Co. Michigan sometime in the 1830's. This is pretty sketchy
information at best based on various birth dates of known family members.
His son John Wesley also followed these patterns and his son, John Wesley
Cays II, was born in Butler Co. Ohio and lived in Cassopolis Michigan before
coming to Dungeness, Washington in Clallam County where they were pioneers
to this area. (Enough Johns for you?) This last John Wesley Cays II was my
great grandfather. Their family descendents still live in this area today.
Again, this is pretty sketchy. I beleive there are several sites on the
Rootsweb site that also have Case information. This is an evolving process
and would love to have the time to verify all pieces of this information
some day. (There is never enough time to follow life's pleasures).
As I said, there are several folks out there who have probably a lot more
detail on this line as they have done more research than I. I thank them
because even though it is not verified, it provided valuable clues as to
where to look. So if this helps any of you in that way, great.

know if they came from Holland and when? When was name changed to CASE?
Any connection perchance with Long Island Cases? Names, dates, etc? When
removed to PA, Ohio, Michigan, Washington? Thanks, Oscar (always?) CASE
