My husband and I have been out transcribing Newton County, Arkansas and Madison County,
and Washington County, Arkansas cemeteries and I thought that I would post those
"Case" headstones that
we have come across. Some are our relatives and I know bits and pieces about,...but
others I don't have a clue as to how they are a "Case" if anyone has
information about those or anymore informaiton about those we have I would appreciate. I
do have pictures of those at the Case cemetery if anyone would like for me to send a
scanned copy of. But the others at the other cemeteries we've only just transcribed.
I'll be posting cemeteries as I get them done I'll come here and post the
"Case's" but if anyone has any other names they would like for me to see if
I have I'll check for you also. If we work together we'll get our families
fount!!
We are in the process of doing Case but I think this is the completed listing for those
out there, if there are more I'll post them after I get them done. I am also in the
process of doing Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas. I know
there are some Case's there but I haven't gotten to yet. So when I do I will post
them. So far that is the biggest cemetery I've been transcribing and it will take me
probably several months to do. (I'm only able to go out there an hour and a time about
once a week.) We have also transcribed Swain Cemetery and Curtis Cemetery and Crossroads
Cemetery and there are no immediate Case names out there. If anyone knows of a Case
marring into another family and I just don't know she was a Case I would appreciate
hearing from you for these cemeteries. We are trying to transcrib these cemeteries before
all these old headstones become to faded to read. We have a map of roads with cemeteries
on them but have no idea which ce!
meteries they are,...if anyone knows of a cemetery they would like us to find and
transcrib let me know the location and we'll see about doing it. We don't have
alot of time (raising four young children) but we are trying to do this as a side hobby
and getting our two older children involved in preserving their heritage. And not only
theirs but others families also.
Thanks,
Rosa

Clarksville, drive just a couple of miles from the store in Fallsville, and on the left
will be a dirt road with a sign for Case Cemetery. Turn on the dirt road and go about a
mile or so and the cemetery will be on your left.

Going from Clarksville toward Salus on Highway 21 north. There is a county road that
turns toward left off the highway sign says 12 miles to Oark. County road is mostly dirt,
until you get to Catalpa community. Go about 1-2 miles down the paved state road from
Catalpa to get to Oark. The cemetery is on the right side of the highway off on a county
road that turns right before you get into Oark. (If you pass the road ask just about
anyone at Oark and they can tell you where the cemetery is.)
