*Shelley, Not sure she will end up being in my direct line but I'd be glad
to 're-rescue' her at least temporarily and put her on my family ancestry

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mrs. Charles CASE
which was taken at
the
Statham Studio in Weedsport, New York. The photograph probably taken in
the
1890's with Mrs. CASE appearing to be in her 80's or 90's at the time. The
dates 1805 and 1899 appear on the back of the photograph as if to indicate
her birth and death dates.
Based on limited research I was able to locate her in census records along
with 4 sons as follows:
1880 census of Fleming, NY:
Fenton CASE, age 34, a Farmer, born Ireland, parents born Ireland
John CASE, brother, age 40, a Farmer, born Ireland, parents born Ireland
J. B. CASE, mother, age 75, Keeping House, born Ireland, parents born
Ireland
James CASE, brother, age 37, born Ireland, parents born Ireland
Mark CASE, brother, age 39, born Ireland, parents born Ireland
I am hoping to locate someone from this CASE Family so that this wonderful
old treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of
this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
