Went to Liverpool library, Thur 24th Jan.
Found my maternal CASE family:
At 61 Vincent Street, Canning Town, West Ham, Essex, UK
2 families (related)
Head, William Taylor, 32, b. Barnsley, Yorks, Civil Parish West Ham, Glass Blower (he
married my grandmother, Josephine Elizabeth CASE, daughter of Thomas & Caroline)
wife, Lizzie (my grandmother), 26, b. Canning Town.
Daughters, Harriet, 21, b. Canning Town
& Mary (my mother), 3 months old, b. C.Town
Carrie NICHOLLS, servant, 12, General domestic, b. C.Town.
Family 2, Caroline CASE, heaad, widow, 67, b. Prittlewell, (Southend on Sea, Essex)
Daughters -
Minnie CASE, 37, b. C.Town
& Hannah CASE, 6, b. C.Town
Sarah NICHOLLS, niece, 6, b. C.Town
Both Nicholls girls were related to my mother & I.
We were only allowed one hour on the internet by the Library, so could not get
much done in that time. I could not locate my paterna family, so expect many inaccuracies
as the trtanscriptions were carried out by youth prisoners with a reading age, typically
of 9. Then they were sent to India for their people to check them using a gazzetter.
All to save money, and produce a product which fails in many ways. They charge usto look
at each transcription and image.
