Have you searched the GRO indexes at yourlocal record Office, library, LDS FHC(Mormon
centre open to the general public) etc for the volume & page number.
Quote these when you apply for a certificate at either
The Register Office, 6 George Street West, Luton, LU1 2BJ (1987 address) GB pounds 6.50
or
FRC in Islington, London
or the GRO, SOUTHPORT for postal applications (GB pounds 8.00) quoting he registration
district, volume & page numbers.
From the marriage certificate, trace the birth records in a similar
way, then the parents BMD's.
