Does any one have any ideas where this CASE line is from. Maybe Henry's parents, brothers and sisters??
Thank you for any clues to this mystery.

Jackie, did you mean to say the 1970 census?
Here in Britain, the latest census available is the 1901 (100 year closure rule) when was available on 2 Jan 2002, but broke down 6 days later due, they said, to overwhelming demand of 32 million hits a day. It has still not been re-launched.
I'll check later on you request. I'm about 250 names behind in transferring data to my database.

On bended knee I am begging for help with ancestors and
descendants of John Edward CASE. Born at unknown location about
1859 Died someplace in Arkansas abt 1935. Married Mary Louisiana
CRAWFORD. Any tidbit will help. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks, Peggy,
I don't know where in Kentucky. That is part of the problem. My
grandfather and supposedly my great-grandfather were named James, but there
are a lot of James Cases. Other names are William, Thomas, Horatio,
Elizabeth, Malinda, and Louisa Bowman-Case-Sallee. Maybe some day, I'll get
lucky and make a connection.
Jackie
Thanks for responding, George.
My grandfather, James Holland Case, was born in Chariton County, Mo around
1865. Known siblings listed in census were William, Thomas, Horatio,
Elizabeth, and Malinda. Parents listed on his death certificate were James
Case born in Kentucky, county unknown, and Louisa Bowman born in Kentucky,
county unknown. At the time I first found him in the 1970 census, there was
no mention of his father. That is where I am stuck. Unfortunately, there
are many James Cases in Kentucky and Missouri. If you have any connection
with any of these names, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Some confusion about several early CASE names.
Several possible Peters, Samules and Abrahams.
We have a grandson of Abrahams, Anthony Peter b. abt 1730. g grandson Peter b. abt 1767
Peter's sons:
Samuel B.I. Case bapt. 1789Milborne St Andrew. In 1817 recorded as Button maufacturer at the depot in Milborne St Andrew where he m. Sarah Louch.

Abraham, 1796

Samuel's son, Edmund Louch Wil. biles Tyrell, in Castlemain in 1860's, then Westland Province, South Island NZ in 1870's.

Also has Edmund, unmarried at 33, Matilda

The original Abraham married a lass from the Arundel home, Wardour Castle.
The had sons, Abraham & Elias. Anthony Peter was a grandson.
My g grandfather, Thomas CASE moved from Poole to West Ham, via South Shields (where daur Mary Ann was b. 1858) and set
up home near his nephew James J Case, a tobacco broker.
Abiah was bapt 27 Feb 1736, Motcombe withEnmore Green and buried 15 Mar 1778. He m. Sarah Ann HUSE 7 (or 21) Apr 1761, Motcombe. The father of Abiah was Peter Case (1695 to 1788 & m. Mary Matthews 29 Aug, 1721 Motcombe parish records)
abt 1750 Peter produced a button based on
a wire ring made of an alloy which did not rust.
He opened a small office in CASES Street,
off Clayton Square. When I went there last year, Cases Stret had 2 very old pubs left and abt 20 yards of street before entering a modern shopping centre.
Clayton Square was famous for 400 years.
Many Case an Clayton families in Liverpool are from 1500 AD including Mayors and high officials.
I seems that baptism records pre 1707 destroyed, parish register films fr Motcombe MICR/R/605 PE/WOT RE 1/2 for 1720-1722 & 1735-1737 checked, none found.
Peter's other children found were
Peter, bapt 12 Dec 1726, St James, Shaftesbury.
Martha bapt. 27 Jun 1722, St James.
William, bapt. 29 Oct 1729, St James
Abiah, 27 Feb 1736, Motcombe, buried 15 Mar 1778
I've got hundrends more. It gets sketchy
between my 5th g grandfather, Peter and 8th g grandfather Abraham.
There are still some gaps such as wives names and baptisms due to destroyed records.
All for now

Sounds like we are related.
What was the source of you data?
A relative from Dorset, Samuel went to Victoria, Au. Later emigrated to New Zealand. Edmund died in dispair after failing to get rich from gold digging.
My grandmother was Josephine Elizabeth CASE (on my mother's side), d.of Thomas CASE of Poole. His father was Walter, s.o Henry who was s.o. Abiah or Obiah of Motcombe. We are related to Abraham CASE
who started the button industry in east Dorset before the Civil War. Charles I wore the buttons on his execution in 1649. His waistcoat on disla at Longleat. Q. Victoria adorned her dolls clother and her dresses in some of the CASE buttons see the V & A museum, London.
I have about 11,000 CASE names to date in my database from 1550 to 2000. Some may not be be related but maybe I have not gone back far enough. In 1100 AD, according to a reference book in the library, there were 3 CASE (somtimes spelt Casse using the secretary 's' looks
like an 'f') in Lancs, Norfolk and the south west. One of them may have derived from Spain, can't remember which one.
One of mine is spelt like Ca'f'se in the parish records then as CASE in his marriage record at Shaftesbury.
Before standardised spelling around 1890 in the UK, people spelled their names and
place names as they sounded.
Anyway I'm writing this from my television digital email system for speed and convenience. When I check my database on my computer, I can answer some of your questions and perhaps you can bring me up to date with your CASE names down under. I understand that there are some in NSW and in Queensland.

Where in Ky and what were their first names--mine were in Mason County
mostly--James Case, Edmund and Edward Case. There's a James Case who went
from KY to Missouri, he died at Rock Island Federal Prison during the War of
Northern Aggression. He is named in a Case will.

George, you amaze me when you say you have 11,000 Case names in your data
base. I have been stuck for about 10 years trying to trace great
grandparents. My Case line was in Kentucky then Missouri (Chariton County)
in the mid 1800s. I can't seem to get further back than that, and can't find
what happened to any of them other than my grandfather. Are any of your
Cases in this area, and if not, do you have any tips or resources to suggest
for me to try? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

From Ruth Cost's Duncan's book John Case and His descendants Micah was
listed together with Rhoda on p. 26. The book shows him as being listed in
the Simsbury Vital Records for both his birth and marriage and that he served
as a sergeant in the Continental Army in 1775. The Simsbury VR are available
from the LDS Family History Library. You should check the Barber Index first
for the volume and page number.
You should look at Simsbury Soldiers in the War of the Revolution, Copyright
1982 by the Abigail Phelps Chapter NSDAR, Simsbury, Ct. I think someone in
the chapter would look him up for you. For Rev. War Service records consult:
Index to Revolutionary War Service records & Genealogical Abstracts of
Revolutionary War Pension Files, both transcribed and abstracted respectively
by Virgil White (probably available in a public library near you). If he is
listed in one of the White books his Pension # or Service would be given and
you can write to the National Archives for his record which could yield a
wealth of information about him.
Hi,
I have Micah Case d Oct. 16, 1774, Simsbury, Ct. m Rhoda Willcockson, d of
William and Thankful Adams. Same one I assume. I have Micah's children but
that is all. Would appreciate any other info. Thanks, Helen PS Micah served
in the Continental Army 1775.
Hi, Yvonne,
Sorry but no David or Doty or Elisha Case in this
family.

What a thoughtful and informative reply. Thanks so
much.
However, you misread my posting. I'm not -- or at
least no longer -- looking for Seba. I found him and
was offering info. to anyone else who might be looking
for him.

Ruth was incorrect on that one. It was Micah's
son, Micah, Jr., b. 1756, who served in the
Continental Army. In his Revol. Pension record he
states his birthdate as 4 Jul 1759. But folks didn't
always get those things right 70 or so years later.
Seba, Sr. died in 1774 so it would have been
difficult for him to have served in 1775.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.

Is there a David L.Case (1794 - ?) married to Doty or an Elisha M. Case
(1824-1904) married to Rebecca Hough (1828-1863) in that family? These

Is anyone seeking Seba Case, son of Micah and Rhoda?
He's one of that family that dropped off the face of
the earth.
I found him in Ontario Co., NY.
Have details.
