Hi Donna,
I am a descendant from Jeremiah Case b. c1793 in New York according to census. He was married to Sarah "Sally" Unknown in N.Y. Her maiden name might have been Mason as their only son (that I know of) was named Jeremiah Mason Case. They lived in Lyon, Ontario Co., NY when they patented land in Michigan. Three children (again that I know of) born in N.Y. - Harriet b. c 1820/25, Jeremiah Mason b. c1825, and Mary E. b. c1829. They left N.Y. in the 1830's and were in 1840 Branch Co., MI census and on to Berrien Co., MI by 1850.
Every time I get a break on them, I then run into another brick wall.
Betty

Thanks Kris,
Seeing as how the given names are the same, I think Ruth Duncan just left
the Noble off.
Carol
I have Sarah Noble - my source was "Simsbury Soliders in the War of the
Revolution", so it's yet a different source.
Hope this helps -
Kris (Case) Pearsall
I have come upon a difference of opinion between the Case book by Ruth Duncan
and the Thomas Noble book by Boltwood.
CASE book has Uriah, Jr, married to Sarah Case daughter of Phineas & Mary
(Humphrey) Case.
NOBLE book has Uriah, Jr. married to Sarah Noble daughter of Phineas & Mary
(Humphrey) Noble.
Same birthdate for both Sarahs. Has anyone else run into this and know which
one is correct?
Thanks,
Carol Noble Benner
Hi Group
I have been trying to find my KEYES, but rhymes with eyes, and also spelled KIES for many, many years.
Recently, I noticed that there were some births that popped up under CASE when I put in KIES and the given names were similar such as Alexa(nder); Jesse; Orin/Orren. They were also born in the 1760's in CT. Now, my little group shows up in VT on the 1790 as KIES, but is there a chance???? this name was CASE and they changed the spelling? It has been suggested before that the name KIES came from MCKYE.
Thanks for any thoughts

Hi....
Been following along with the discussion......as Donna
said, I am a descendant of Luther (throught his son
Giles with Chloe Sisson) - son of Benejah and Lydia.
I am curious about a Luke Case born in Ohio about
1815. I think he may be the son of Luther and
Tryphena.
Some facts about him:
1) He named his first son - Giles.
2) He shows up in Ogle, Ill in the 1840's where he
married Clarinda Spencer. Ogle is the county just to
the east of Kane County where Francis and Lucy ended
up.
In the 1830 census, there is a male that could
possibly be Luke living with Chloe - since no names
are listed, it could also be a brother to Chloe.
I am trying to find out when Luther and Tryphena left
VT, or if he left after she died; and where they went.
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Kris,
My records show that Anna Moses was the DAUGHTER of Michael Moses
and Thankful (Case) Moses. Michael Moses, JR. married ANNA MARIA CRANE
in 1798.
Anna Moses' sister LUCY married Nathan Case. I have no date for that
marriage.

First, Thanks Donna for sharing all that information. It's really
interesting to see how family from Simsbury, CT wound up in VT - especially
since that's what happened to me too!
I just have one question (so far - my head is spinning from trying to make
connections with info already in my database! :) ) -
I have Benajah (s/o Benajah and Lydia Case) married to Anna Moses also, but
my database indicates that she was married to Michael Moses (son of Michael
Moses and Thankful Case) too. The information that I have didn't make clear
which marriage happened first. I also have that Anna Moses (d/o of Michael
and Thankful) married Nathan Case.
If someone could check their info and let me know which way is up? Thanks
very much,
Kris (Case) Pearsall
