Phoebe Case mar. Philip Frakes April 3, 1788
Mercy Case -mar. John Frake Feb. 25, 1796
Lydia Case born 1772 --no parents named---

I have been researching the CASE Famies of Norfolk for several years and am
keen to correspond with others who may have a similar interest.
Although I have a data base of over 1200 descendants of Edward Case b1637 of
Great Fransham there are still several important (for me) lines that remain
incomplete. I am more than willing to share what information I have and am
hoping to find someone with the missing links who will share their
knowledge.

According to a Deed record I have it states the following--This is from Mason
Co. Ky. North Fork of the Licking River.
This indenture was made in June 1853 between William Case and Rebecca his
wife, Zephaniah hand his wife Elizabeth, Edward and his wife Delilah, John
Case and Matilda his wife, James Case Sr., and his wife Elizabeth, Edmund
Case and his wife Anna, Edward Case Jr. and Sarah his wife , Miles Case and
Elizabeth his wife, heirs and representives of James Case , deceased.
To have and to hold the same with the exception of the interest of James Case
is one of the heirs now in Missouri.
I have posted this before--so seeing some inquiries on James Case--am doing
so again. I also have the following -Indenture
In the year 21st of July, 1828--between David and Margaret Baker and James
Case. For the sum of $380.00 a parcel of land in Mason Co. part of Thomas
Marshalls land of 14 thousand acres, North Fork of Licking River. I believe
this to be the same land mentioned above and this James to be the father of
the above heirs. No wife was mentioned in this for James. My direct line is
Edmund Case and Anna.

Phil:
Do you have a John W. Case born about 1796 in NEW YORK or a Farren/Fairen
Case born in 1776 in MASS possibly in Otis, MA?

Hi Bill,
You might be the answer to a family mystery. According to family lore, 2 wagons of Cases left Guilford or Rockingham Co NC headed west. One of the wagons broke down
in what is now eastern Tennessee in what became Hawkins Co. The occupants of one of the wagons ended up staying there...Charles Case and wife Mary Rhodes. The other
wagon, occupants unknown to us today, ended up eventually heading farther west. We always figured it was a brother, uncle or nephew of Charles. If it is the same
Jonas on my database, He is on the Guilford census until about 1830, and then shows up in McNairy Co. If he did in fact travel with Charles, Charles and family show
up on the Hawkins census in 1850. I am not sure yet about 1840. Charles' father was Nathan, Jonas' brother. Let me know if you think this is a link.

I'm not sure of the location for William Case but, I believe it might have
been Maryland. Nathaniel Harris's line is from Maryland and, his son Thomas
Harris who married Sarah Offutt abt. 1748 was from Prince George County, Md..
Thomas Harris was living in Louisa County, Va. and appears on the 1787 census
Take care,
Jude
